He has a natural inclination for the offensive phase and the foot of a forward. This is why he is a good place kicker and free kicks, which are his speciality on a youth level, and he often finds himself supporting plays in a forward position.
He runs tirelessly up and down the entire pitch, easily taking on his opponents one-on-one and reading plays intelligently and with optimism.
He always understands when it is appropriate to attack the centre or continue running along the sideline. He is a bit enamoured with the ball and tends to pass it only when it comes time to cross, making dialogue difficult when he is running with the ball and decreasing his chances at eluding the opponent by manoeuvring. He does not have a defender’s physique, so the natural evolution of his position could be that of an outside midfielder with a three-man defence. This would allow him to worry less about the defensive phase and take the best advantage of his qualities.
His best qualities are speed, technical skills and the ability to read offensive plays.
On the other hand, he needs to improve in terms of his physical structure and in defensive one-on-one, especially when he is attacked on his weak foot. Anyone who attacks him forcing him to use his right always places him in difficulty.
Another quality is his voracious desire to succeed, to become a champion to help his family and to have a better life. He already has international experience on a youth level thanks to being called up in the Paraguay minor selections, and he was also called up for the national majors. Nevertheless, he does not know how to handle the press and media attention, a situation that could create some problems for him in adapting to European football habits.
