They say records are made to be broken, and that’s probably why, for the second year in a row, Wyscout Forum has made history. The 2018 edition of the “Speed-date of Football” has once again been a record-breaking one, outdoing last year’s event at Stamford Bridge in London. This time, more than 850 delegates gathered in the majestic Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, embellished with images of some of the most prestigious football legends that worn the Ajax shirt.
The first record to be smashed has been the number of clubs represented at the event, as delegates from more than 65 countries around the world attended Wyscout Forum 2018. From Brazil to Turkey, passing through the United States, Mexico, Ghana, and many others. More than 130 football clubs were represented in The Lancers’ home, alongside with 300+ professional agents. Wyscout also had the pleasure to host former international footballer Nuno Gomes and India National Team’s coach, Stephen Constantine.
November 19 and 20 have been two busy days of networking for the global football transfers community, with more than 2500 club-to-club and club-to-agent meetings, scheduled through the Agenda tool. We would probably have needed a couple of additional days to satisfy the 9500+ meeting requests made by all attendees through 5000+ communications sent by using our Messenger tool. Networking was the most significant part of the event but not the only one, as highlighted by the success earned by the legal panel about FIFA reform proposals on transfer and agents regulations, held by international attorney Stefano Malvestio. Make sure not to miss the textual version of the legal roundtable, that will be published in mid-December on Wyscout blog.
